Unit smoked the apartment

Just bought an apt that came with Bosch appliances from construction in 2016, including the otr microwave. Microwave passed apt inspection recently. Today the microwave unit failed internally and generated a grey smoke with a plastic/electrical putrid smell that filled the apartment. The internal burnt smell was so concentrated that it permeated the apartment and hallway. Looking at other microwave alternatives.

Stopped working after less than 4 years

Expected a lot from a Bosch product. Very disappointing that it has stopped working. The product was manufactured only in 2016. We have had other much lower priced microwaves and they have worked 15+ years.

Purchased tomatch our Bosch range . Failed after 3 years . Told by dealer over phone cost more to fix than buying a new one . The microwave we replaced worked fine {maytag} and was 10 years old . Just ordered another Bosch only because I didnt want to drill more holes in my cabinets . Very Very disappointed in the product
