Love the new features!

This refrigerator replaced my 15+ year old Whirlpool 25 cu ft one. So many new innovations since my last purchase. I only replaced my old that was working fine because it was the wrong color for my new kitchen. My other appliances are also Whirlpool because they have been so reliable for me over the years. I was hesitant to get stainless steel due to fingerprints, but none have showed up yet! It is larger inside but has the same footprint as my old one. It has a much larger and easier to use water and ice dispenser. A big plus is the option to have it dispense a specific amount of water so you don't have to hold the container against the pressure pad. The controls are easy to use and very helpful. I also love the two drawers in the freezer section. They now hold all of the bagged items that were always sliding around or falling out when looking for something else. Items are perfectly contained and easy to see standing up in a drawer. I can also hide items I don't want anyone getting into! All-in-all, I love this refrigerator. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Poorly designed ice-maker is a continual battle

I like everything about this fridge except the ice-maker. The ice maker has NEVER ONCE provided a nice glass full of cubed ice. A more accurate description would be a shaved ice maker. When selecting cubes, a bunch of shaved ice comes out with cubes every time. There is constant ice build-up under the ice container. It frequently jams with ice/frost and will not dispense. Upon consulting the owner's manual, I see they recommend cleaning the ice maker every two weeks. Really?!?! Who would do this? Design a better fridge so your customers don't have to waste their time cleaning the ice maker every two weeks. If you can't stand crushed/shaved ice watering down your drinks, you won't be able to stand this fridge. If you don't want to clean your ice maker every two weeks, you won't like this fridge.

worst refrigerator

I bought this refrigerator in July to be dilvered when my husband returned from his deployment in August. The salesperson did not point out that the shelves were not adjustable needless to say we were amazed that any refrierator made would not have adjustable shelves Maybe i'm crazy but that alone seems unbelievable When we finaly got to see it in or home my son pointed out how all four corners appeared to be glued as though it might be a refurbished fridge. The water never gets chilled and it is so loud when it is running. I called whirlpool to get assistance with the issues. I was disconnected twice put on hold for 20 minutes only to be told that I wold be responsible for any service if the repairman felt it was not the manufacturers defect. The representative was so rude and kept trying to push extendant warranties on me . I was told they could set up a service repair but mpst likely I would have to pay for it. The refrigerator is less than 2 months old and has only been plugged in for 17 days. I would never ever recommend Whirlpool appliances as they do not stand behind their product and the customer service was appaling basically all you get is a saleperson trying to get you to purchase warranties for a defective product!

I bought this refrigerator about 2 months ago. I love the sleek modern look. The refrigerator is just the right size for my family and it keeps everything nice and cold. The spacing of the shelves, LED lighting and ice and water on the door are some of my favorite features. One downfall is that the stainless steel scratches very easily. I would recommend using a microfiber cloth and specific stainless steel cleaner to clean the outside of the fridge. Overall this refrigerator is a great buy!

Would like to add a butter compartment on this product. The water dispenser is too low for a tall person. The handle leaves finger prints. You can not adjust the shelves. You can on the door. I still love this refrigerator. Had a GE profile, bottom drawer but could not find anything in the freezer, Had to take things out to find something I needed. With the side by side you can see it.

I purchase this unit about three weeks ago and everything was fine except the water dispenser thru the door doesn't work as well as I expected. At first, very little water was dispense. After reconnecting the water valve it was better, but not as good as the manual said it should be. We have well water and not city water , therefore our water pressure is only runs from 30 to 55 instead of the 30 to 120 range.

Cheap because it's made that way

I've had this fridge for a little over a year and a half. In the last month the ice maker container and the actual ice maker have both completely broken. Conveniently Whirlpool doesn't cover their products after 1 year. I bought the additional coverage from Lowe's and conveniently again the additional $150 doesn't cover parts, only mechanical and electrical (this was never explained during the purchase). To make matters more frustrating whirlpool didn't have the parts in stock so I had to go through an after market manufacturer. I would not recommend whirlpool based on their customer service and lack of assistance.

Broke after one week

I waited a month for this brand new model. It worked one week and then the water dispenser quit working! Really!! It took another week to get guy out and the part is hopefully being replaced today. One other negative is that you have to push the ice/water buttons so hard to release ice/water from the dispenser that some people will have trouble getting ice and/or water out.

Bought this fridge 2 months ago when my 18 year old Maytag finally bit the dust. Has several features I love... it's very roomy and has great lighting inside. The ice and water in the door are very convenient. It is so much quieter than my old fridge. The two things I don't love about it are the missing butter shelf, and the stupid drawers in the freezer. The drawers are deep and narrow which make the items in it difficult to access. I much prefer the wire bins from the old freezer.

Nice Refrigerator with a couple of drawbacks

There are two things we don't like about the refrigerator: 1) The shelves in the refrigerator compartment are not adjustable. 2) I like having the ice dispenser in the door but it's difficult to keep the ice from missing the glass if it's not a really wide mouth glass so some of the cubes end up on the floor.

Really want to love this fridge, but doesn't work

I have had my Whirlpool side by side for three months and love it but..... 1) there is some type of noise that comes from the fresh flow filter, like a tapping noise that comes and goes 2) I had to replace the water filter and after inserting the new filter, my fridge stopped working and wouldn't dispense water or ice. After a search on the internet, found that I should unplug the unit to reset. Well, pulling out the fridge was no easy matter and had to plug/unplug three times. Then had a hard time trying to calibrate the water dispenser. I dread having to install the next filter! If anyone has any better solution, would love to hear it!

I bought this a couple months ago, the doors are not aligned properly, causing the fridge to overwork and freeze a lot of foods, and the ice gets stuck in the ice hopper.....

Disappointing

Ice maker a problem from Day One. Won't make full bin of ice. Won't dispense ice. contacted whirlpool online. No help. Ironic because we bought a new refrigerator since our old ice maker wasn't working. So unhappy. Have been buying bags of ice every week.

RETURNING TO THE STORE

NOISY! HEAT! LUKEWARM WATER! TAPE REMOVAL AFTER DELIVERY TOOK A SOLID HOUR! OVERALL POOR DESIGN AND POOR PACKING FOR SHIPPING! First, the fan noise from this thing is ridiculous! It should NOT be bought for an open-concept house because it is almost as loud as a dishwasher! Second, when the motor is running, the heat coming out from the left-side is pretty hot! If I had wanted a heater for the kitchen, I would have bought one! Third, the temperature immediately upon exit from the water dispenser is 65° F! I wouldn't believe it if I didn't use 2 thermometers to confirm it! Lastly, it took a solid HOUR to fully unpack and de-tape everything! There were at least 100 pieces of blue fiberglass tape and NONE were courteously folded back for easy removal! RETURNING this POOR excuse for a refrigerator!

Huuuuge Regrigerator

I bought/had this refrigerator delivered in early August 2018. So far my wife and I love this refrigerator. It has soooo much room and always keeps all the items perfectly cold. Love the ice/water dispenser too - easy and fast.

Very nice refrigerator

Overall this is an exceptional refrigerator. When the water fills into the ice maker it does make a slightly louder than expected sound (for a short length of time), but that is being extremely notpicky.

Great capacity

We've had this fridge for about 2 weeks. So far it seems to be working great. I love the size, it's got a slightly bigger capacity than our old one (also a Whirlpool). I really like the menu panel on the water/ice dispenser. My only concern is that the water from the dispenser is still slightly cloudy - nowhere near as cloudy as when it was first installed, but we've run several gallons through the fridge and the water still isn't as clear as what I get from the kitchen tap. The ice maker is a bit noisy, but it doesn't last very long.

A well designed refrigerator

Finally, a well designed fridge. The stainless does not show any fingerprints at all, even after it was moved into the house by two people. The LED lighting is awesome, clear and bright. The shelves are frameless and therefore provide extra space for storage. The ice maker is in the freezer door, so you end up with an extra shelf in the freezer compartment. The ice maker makes lots of ice, never run out. The freezer and fridge hold their respective temperatures perfectly. The fridge is quiet, the only sound you hear is the ice dropping into the bin. The doors seal very well and were easy to adjust. An internal water filter means filtered water thru the door. When dispensing water it measures the ounces for you, very smart. Touch controls are intuitive and easy to use. This is the best refrigerator I have ever owned, so much more storage space.
