I don™™t think this unit was undersized for the room, but perhaps maybe that™™s why I think the cooling feature is just average. installation was somewhat of a struggle, but my husband eventually got it installed properly and he™™s very handy so I don™™t think the struggle was on his end. Noise level is great, especially compared to the previous portable air conditioner that we had. Might install it in a smaller room next season and see if the cooling feature is better

I paid more than I usually would for an air conditioner and was greatly dissatisfied when it stopped working properly, during the month of August 2025. Had the window ac unit for 60 days and will no longer connect to WiFi, the remote will no longer control the unit either. Tried to use the controls on the front of the ac. Basically the unit stopped responding to all inputs in the hottest time of the year in StL (August). Tried calling customer service several times and they are always closed or not answering calls. Was forced to buy another new ac unit since this one stopped working, no I did not buy a GE brand unit.

I am impressed by the overall cooling speed, and also that it does well at removing humidity. The room isn't just cooler, the air fells nice. It's louder than I expected, but the performance has outweighed that factor. It delivers almost-central air conditions at a much more comfortable price. Another plus is that it's lighter than some models, which has aided in our being able to manage self-install and should be simple to store for the winter.

Was extremely easy to install with 1 person ,comes with Wi-Fi and can be controlled with on ,off, turn up 1°f from another state . So far with a ceiling fan and fan running lowest setting has kept the trailer I live in that from 12-4:00pm was from 115° to 69° f and our animals love It. We got this AC from Lowe's at a good price for a quality AC. We purchased a Midea but with all the recalls and mold issues, we decided to go to GE. We were shocked at how it took 10 minutes to install, YES, 10 Minutes!!! So easy! It has some fantastic features and very quiet. The watts used is less than our other 8000 BTU unit we are replacing it with. The unit sounds like a tower fan and has a gentle hum even on high! It definitely pushes more air and has a very modern design and seems to cool our living room quickly even on this 92 degree day! I will give some criticism as the packaging is horrible. After installing we noticed the right side is dented on the outside and realized the box has a bit of a cave on one side. It doesn't seem to affect the AC but we are notating it for future warranty issues if they arise. They really need to pack the ACs better and have a better foam and thicker cardboard considering it's a higher end targeted appliance and not your cheaper units. In all it's a good unit, just wish they took the care in packing it. The app is okay, definitely glitchy and slow but most home apps are anymore as they try to over engineer them. Also love that the LED lights turn off automatically and it offers a quiet night's sleep. So far we like it and will hopefully be a good unit since we purchased the Lowe's extra warranty as well since the weather has been so hot!

The unit we ended up keeping works very well and so far we are happy with our purchase. It works well and cools with ease. I will add however that we went through two BRAND NEW units before we got a ™good one™. The first one had a bad mother board out of the box. The second unit was crushed inside the box so we returned it to Lowe™™s. Third times a charm and so far no issues with the last unit. Not sure if this was the result of manufacturing defects or damage from shipping, but the initial experience was very poor. Happy we finally got a good unit that seems to be working very well.

2 days in... so far so good... cools very well when indoor temp at 86f... it cooled 400sq feet room to 76f in 4 hours... so not quick but cool air coming out was constant -air temp coming from a/c was same cold at hour 4 as hour 1.
