Disappointing quality and a total money pit™€"

We bought this GE oven expecting it to last, but it completely stopped working after only 4 years. To make matters worse, the repair process through their approved appliance repair service was an absolute nightmare. We were initially quoted $690™€"which included the diagnostic fee, two replacement parts, and labor. After waiting for the parts to arrive, the technician came back to install them, only to tell us the oven still didn't work. His solution? A second quote for yet another part costing $1,250 on top of what we already faced. What a joke. Paying close to $2,000 to fix a 4-year-old appliance is completely unacceptable. We are beyond disappointed with both the product's lifespan and the official service support. We are now forced to replace the entire oven, and it certainly won't be a GE. Save your money and look elsewhere.

This is a replacement of same model. Love the double oven option for big family events. Was concerned about size but found that a thanksgiving turkey easily fit in the oven. The upper oven takes a little bit more time to preheat than our first model. Otherwise it works great and two oven option helps a lot in cooking meals. Would buy again.

Nice oven with some slightly annoying features

By and large we like this oven after a lot of trouble getting it to fit in a standard cabinet under a GE Profile induction cooktop. There are a a couple of things that should be pointed out. We needed to go through two rounds of firmware updates to get the air-fry function. The most annoying thing is that you can't broil without the door closed and when baking the oven pauses itself every time you leave the door open such as to baste your turkey and you have to keep hitting Dismiss.. This might be a safety requirement of modern ovens, but I will need to find a way to disable or fool it. Our toaster over does something similar, but at least it restarts automatically when you close the door. It's as if the oven was designed by someone who doesn't cook. One other thing is that the top oven set to 325 only gets to about 300 according to two different Taylor themomerters

Very happy with the oven. There are just two of us in the house and it's perfect for day to day. When we do have dinner parties it's great to be able to have two ovens. Obviously they are not large spaces (I've cooked a 14 lb turkey in the lower oven) but it's perfect for us. The bottom oven door spring stopped working and GE sent out a repair person as it was still under warranty, not sure how much it would have cost if out of warranty).

This is a fabulous oven. In previous homes I™€™ve had Dacor and Viking ovens and the Dacor was OK and the Viking was absolutely terrible. Very loud and I™€™m not talking about the convection. Very uneven heat. Terrible oven. Nobody in the appliance industry could tell me about this GE profile oven so I was going on faith buying a GE profile and it™€™s been fabulous. There™€™s only two days a year that I wish I had a larger oven, Christmas and Thanksgiving but we™€™ve figured out ways to work around that and it™€™s so worth it because we don™€™t need an air fryer cluttering up our counter and this oven heats up so quickly And evenlyit™€™s been fabulous. Very even gliding shelves included so it works wonderfully in the island-Fabulous for a small kitchen because the doors don™€™t drop down as far so no wasted space. I can™€™t say enough positive about this product Now that I™€™ve had it working for six months and my other new appliances are a subzero refrigerator and a Wolf induction stove top (Both fabulous) so I think I know quality appliances.

I agree with most all the good comments about this oven. It's beautiful, easy control interface, love the dual cook options, etc. BUT ... recently the interior lights come on during operation and displays error "Door is open, heating is suspended", and the oven stops heating. I highly suspect this is a control board issue. The oven is only 3 years old and a new control board is about $900; that's 1/3 the cost of a new oven. I feel this would be a case of throwing good money after bad. GE has to do a better job designing their products to last longer! If I have to buy a new oven, it won't be a GE.

Poor quality and worse service for a high price

Product didn't last a full year before the computer died. The interior oven lights respond when the door is open, but nothing else works. The Part that I would need to fix it is $700 and out of stock anywhere I can find. Steer Clear. I Purchased the Oven on 08/31, it was not connected to power or installed in our home until 10/17. All of my online Warranty documents state 10/17/24 as the end of the warranty. Called GE for warranty support: 1. First Call verified my information and told me that I was in fact within warranty (By about 2 weeks) and to expect a call to schedule with a local technician. 2. 24h later, GE Customer care calls me to tell me that they do not have technicians in my area and that they cannot send someone to repair the range. Agent makes sure to state that the call is being recorded and that I'd be passed to customer care to "Discuss Options" ...30 minutes later, my new agent gets on and said that I can find someone who is GE Certified and get it fixed myself and call them for parts .... Or I can accept a $300 discount on this $3500 oven. Agent goes on to say that my warranty ACTUALLY started the second that I took delivery (08/31) so my warranty is now expired and there's nothing that can be done. I'm now the proud owner of a $3500 Albatross.

We love our double oven and appreciate that it can be installed under a cooktop, however the controls make this layout a bit awkward because they are so low, so this unit would be a much better experience installed at least 18-24 inches above the floor. We also wish that the upper oven had a toasting function and would appreciate that getting added through a software update.

This is the second house I have installed a GE single double wall oven. I like the styling and overall use of the oven. It works well in the 2 years that I have been using it. I am able to put anything want into the oven to cook and it™€™s nice not having to heat a massive oven all the time. What we really, really don™€™t like is that GE changed the oven racks. They went from a standard flat wire rack to a sliding contraption. These are a HUGE miss by the design team at GE. The racks sit an inch higher than the level of the support. In the 2014 version of the oven, this meant you could really use 2 racks in the lower oven. Now if I have something oversized, I need to take this massive rack assembly out and find someplace to store it while cooking. Also, the sliding mechanism more or less seized up within a year. I have been looking to buy a standard rack to replace these really expense sliding racks but for some reason GE doesn™€™t make a standard rack that fits in the oven. Overall, I really like the oven and the holiday themed alarms (think gobble mode at thanksgiving) are nice touches but don™€™t overcome the new rack system that is required to use the oven.

I replaced my old GE Profile single oven for this double oven. It fit perfectly without cabinet modification and is very sleek and modern looking. I have connected it to WiFi and look forward to trying all the features. That said, I™€™m extremely disappointed that it does NOT have the air fryer function as it was advertised. The air fryer was the explicit reason for buying this model over others; with a smallish kitchen, I was excited to be rid of a counter hogging appliance. Quite a letdown.

Oven failed early and couldn™€™t be repaired

The oven literally failed and was stuck in an update restart feedback loop after only using it a few times. We had 4 different service visits to try to fix it without success. More circuit boards, wiring harness and electronic ribbon replacements couldn™€™t fix it. We had to fight with GE because our home was a model, never lived in but because of the transition issue of the builder they didn™€™t want to cover it. Finally convinced them to replace it, and after 6 long months without an oven, we have a replacement. Hoping this one lasts. Will update later to give review of the replacement. Hoping it was just a one off lemon. The service technicians made a great effort and were very professional.

Advertised with Air Fryer... No Air Fryer

When I placed the order for this oven on Lowes website...It said it came with an air fryer ..as it turns out it is just a convection oven. I am sure it is a fine oven but not what i thought i ordered. After multiple hours of trying to convince the Lowes staff of no air fryer they finally let me exchange and order another GE profile oven with an air fryer.

Everything about the oven is intuitive and works great. Saves so much space vs. separate wall ovens. Temp control seems right on. Heats quickly and evenly. The beeping reminder 1 minute before timer is done and the set temp is reached is a small, but nice feature.

Seems to cook evenly inside and it heats up about same amount of time as old oven, due to smaller amperage pull, even though it™€™s smaller. Nice to have 2 ovens again for different cook temperatures.

The GE Profile double oven fits into a large single wall oven space. Twice the baking power. Can still roast a turkey in one and other dishes in the 2nd oven at the same time. Also is very smart.

This fit in the opening where our single oven was. No modification necessary. It is super heavy but the husband and I (both 66 yrs young) removed the old and installed the new with ease and furniture dolly. Buy it! You will love it!!!

Don™€™t buy this! I had a 15 year old GE wall oven. The built in microwave above the wall oven went bad. I made the decision to replace them both so they would match. After pondering it I decided to stick with GE Profile. My new wall oven was installed on Oct. 6th, 2023. Nov. 29th I made Christmas cookies. An hour later I looked at my oven to see what time it was. The whole display was black. Without the digital display you can not operate the ovens. The light inside the ovens worked but not the display. It™€™s now December 29th. Repairmen were here for the third time. My oven still doesn™€™t work. I™€™m now being told January 15, 2024! I™€™ve been told by two repairmen that it™€™s so new of an oven the repair needs to be ™€œsent to research™€ again. Imagine going through Christmas with NO OVEN! I regret my purchase! Gave it one star™€¦.it got me through Thanksgiving dinner for 35 people!
