This dryer is the worst dryer I have ever had. The lint screen is flimsy & cheep. It has a loud squeaking noice that makes you take notice when it starts. It has done this this from day one. The repair request has been put in.....but they are busy & I'm waiting for my appointment in three weeks.

It does dry the clothes, but the sensor to determine when the clothes are dry doesn't seem to work very well. The clothes are usually dry 10 - 15 minutes before the dryer says it is still going to run. seems like a waste of energy to run that much longer even though the clothes are perfectly dry.

I™€™m disappointed in this dryer. The capacity does not equal the need from the washer. Our dryer runs way too hot on the top 2 settings. Anything below that takes forever to dry. The sensor cycle may or may not completely dry the clothes. Especially towels. I most likely will not purchase another GE laundry set.

We bought this dryer in July 2023. It made terrible, loud sounds from day one. By January 2024, the drum inside the dryer completely broke. GE customer service said the first available repair appointment was weeks away. (I have 4 kids and do laundry every single day. This was not acceptable.) So they sent me a third party repair person who still couldn™€™t come for a week. While waiting for parts FROM GE, we were without a dryer for 4 WEEKS. The dryer functioned properly for about a month after the repair, then started making loud, squeaking noises again. On October 6, 2024 the dryer completely stopped working. We paid a repairman $100 to tell us that the control panel is completely fried. The dryer is 14 months old. He suggested just purchasing a new unit. How disappointing. Dear GE, this dryer is TERRIBLE. Please fix the issues that so many people are having with this unit.

The product itself is alright. However, the company is not good. When everything is fine, there are no issues as the machine itself works when it works. Problems arise when the machine has issues. My machine was delivered and I missed that it was making some noise after it would run for a few minutes. I called the company right away and it took them 6 week to fix it. They would not take the machine back they kept trying to fix it. I could not use the machine at all so i had to find a way to wash and dry my clothes. 7 visits and numerous part shipments later, it is working now. I will surely think of other manufacturers for my future purchases even through I currently own 11 appliances from ge profile family between my homes.

So far, it's been great. Still learning on how to make the settings work the best for what I need as the few times I dried my clothes, the clothes were still slightly moist. However, it does dry efficiently as my clothes have been wrinkle free and they feel really soft. Overall, great and my spouse knows the settings well cause she hasn't struggled with using this.

We purchased this dryer just over 2 months ago and it has been underperforming since the beginning. All sensor drying functions lead to damp clothing, despite being on "max dry" setting. Technician has been out twice and scanned it, saying there is no issue. Instead blamed the issue on baby clothes not creating large enough loads to hit the sensor, using low heat, or imbalanced machine. All changes to load size, makeup of load, dry temp, and balance of the machine were tried with no change in result. To me, "max dry" should fully dry a load of laundry, not leave it mostly damp or wet. Customer service has now washed their hands of it despite still having issues. They seem to not be standing behind the quality of this quite expensive machine which is very unsettling to me. I have been pretty loyal to GE, but this experience is leaving a very bad taste in my mouth at the tune of $1000 of a dryer that does not dry

I™€™ve had the dryer 2 weeks. I find the touchscreen is quirky and not responsive to input at times where buttons have to be pressed repeatedly to select options. The tide refresh dispenser leaks. Filled it up, haven™€™t even used this feature and all the liquid was spilled out on the floor. Already have to put in a warranty claim and have someone look at it

Worst dryer ever owned. Within the first year of owning dryers stoped working after taking more than a month waiting on part to fix they decided to replace the product under warranty. Both dryers have the same lackluster performance. In order for clothes to even dry I have to set the matching washer that was purchased to max spin. Then to dry you have to put on bulky setting along with max dry. Which puts it at about 2 hrs. To dry a load of laundry. I would not recommend this dryer to anyone!

I absolutely love this dryer! The moisture sense is my favorite feature I didn't know I needed, my kids used to turn our old dryer on high and with the most time to dry their clothes without checking, I was always afraid of a fire, but with the moisture sense feature my worries are gone! The fabric refresh is great as well for my work clothes, I pop my clothes in for a few minutes to freshen and dewrinkle my clothes before work and they smell great and look great! I have never had such an advanced dryer and honestly I will never go back to a standard machine again!

expensive purchase requiring GE service <year

The dryer failed after just 10 months of use. It was used once a week, for 3 -4 loads of mostly clothes, nothing out of the ordinary. The request for GE service was quick and easy. The technician uploaded parts for repair from his van before talking to us about the failure. The repair took about an hour. The technician described the problem as a"manufacturing defect" which might explain why the store selling the product mentioned that warranty service during the first year was covered by GE and not the extended warranty plan which we purchased. The dryer settings for the most part do not dry clothes in the time allotted. We find ourselves using the "time" setting and drying for about 35-40 minutes for most loads. We had the dryer vents serviced after the repair to rule that out as a reason for the poor performance of the dryer. The 200.00 vent cleaning did nothing to improve the performance of the dryer.

The dryer stopped working within one week of delivery, after waiting two months from placing order to receipt of product. We initiated a return/exchange with a replacement machine expected to be delivered 5 days ago (12 days after machine stopped working). Despite receiving a confirmation email of date and time of delivery two days prior, we received a phone call the night before informing us that not only would the dryer not be delivered as expected and confirmed, but also that they couldn™€™t tell us when it would be because they don™€™t know where the machine actually is in transport, but that hopefully it would be here within 10-14 additional days. Extremely disappointed by this experience.

Very unhappy. This washer makes a noise that drove me insane scone the day it was delivered. They came and corrected the issue. The following day I put a load of towels in the dryer, started it and left the room. Came back in 15 minutes later to the smell of burning rubber. The motor was running drum wasn™€™t spinning. If I hadn™€™t gone back in the room this dryer may have burnt my house down. Now I wait for them to come back for a second time to repair my dryer that is only a month old.

The push buttons are not that easy to use, I find myself having to push the buttons to make adjustments for the different levels numerous times to make changes. I haven't downloaded any new functions, so hopefully this will help in the drying process.

I have had this set for over 2 months. I didn't like it from the start but thought I would give it some time to get used to. It doesn't have some basic features I thought would be standard. The washer makes a horrible noise when it is first turned on but quiet after that. The dryer doesn't ever dry the clothes in the first cycle. Always have to run it 2-3 times to get the clothes dry. I have gone through all the troubleshooting info that I have found online and still doesn't dry the clothes. I'm so disappointed that it is too late to exchange these at the store we purchased them from because these are not worth the money!

Right out of the box this thing was squealing. I have tried numerous times to get service scheduled however, someone must have entered the product model # incorrect into this system because the model comes back as an oven not a dryer. This service department is junk. I have called numerous times and tried to schedule online a few times and everytime it gets cancelled. I wouldn't buy a GE product ever again. So if you're reading this review, RUN! I even paid for extended warranty because some of the reviews on Home Depots site stated the same issues... but my wife just had to have it. Now we are stuck listening to this thing squeal like a pig. Outrageous for a new dryer to do. Wish I could just get the money back I spent on the Dryer and Washer(Had issues with this thing too)

Dryer panel went blank after two weeks and four uses. Power button would not turn on the dryer. I could get it to light up briefly when flipping the circuit breaker. I could not figure out the issue. I called service but everyone was backed up 7-10 days. Thankfully, a Customer Service employee was able to walk me through resetting the unit. I hit the power button and then pushed the ecodry button for 5 seconds and released. Ten seconds later the dryer came to life. Hopefully this will not be an ongoing issue.

After a lot of research on washers and dryers, we bought the GE Profile. Love this dryer! It has great features that you can customize with each load. It dries quickly and quietly. I haven™€™t tried the Fabric Refresh yet, but the Wrinkle Care, Tangle Control, and Reduce Static are game changers on our sheets and towels. Looks great in our home and is so easy to use! It™€™s got so many features. One down fall is that sometimes I have found that my clothes are still wet after running an entire drying cycle. Otherwise we love it.

Did not rate it a 5 because the buttons do not always respond to the touch. Sometimes I have to hit them 4-5 times to change heat settings.
