I absolutely love my new ovens. I never knew you could have side open doors. This makes it so much easier to get things in and out of the double oven especially really heavy pans. I am much less likely to burn myself. I like the touch panel screen, it is very easy to use and makes sense. I really like that the top over also is an air fryer. I didn't realize how bad my old ovens were until I got these. You won't be sorry if you buy them!

Oven seems to run hot. The regular racks are not level and when I make a cake with a thin batter it comes out very unlevel. This is not good and no one can seem to fix it. We are going to try new racks but I doubt that this will help. Will see. The thicker racks are level so it has something to do with the regular racks and how they go in. Not a good plan. Also i love the side open doors but they close hard so if you were trying to make a soufflà for example or anything sensitive to movement it would most likely fall from the door closing so hard. I was so excited to get this side open ovens but i am very disappointed right now- will see if the new racks make any difference but as I said I doubt it but we will see.

We replaced a 20 year old double oven. I am 5™€™2 so getting things in and out was an issue. The side opening door was a game changer. I love my new oven. It is beautiful and functional. Easy to understand and read controls at the touch of a finger. The door stays open and does not swing back to try and burn you. It is also quiet. Our dog was afraid of our old oven and would not come in the kitchen if it was on . Now he doesn™€™t even notice. It cooks food evenly. The glass is huge and with the light on you can see what you are cooking perfectly! I would buy it again!!

Long Wait But Worth It

We purchased the GE Profile Model PTD700LSNSS because of the swinging doors, rather than the usual drop down doors. My Wife is short and the upper oven, with drop down doors, is a challenge to use. We waited 3 months to get this oven! There were none available and GE kept postponing manufacturing them until they got enough orders. BUT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!! This was a replacement for an older double oven that just gave up. Our Salesman warned us before we ordered this oven that Double Ovens were now 3 inches shorter than older ones. But the installer did a GREAT JOB getting it in and filling the 3 inch gap! Oven works great! Instructions are better than usual. Air Fry function is a great addition! The App for the oven is not as good as it is for our GE Profile Washer & Dryer. It need some more work as far as telling you what you set on the oven panel and what time is left....

I love my new oven, but after using the air fryer feature I had to use self clean to clean all the spatter. That worked well inside, but the glass on the door is still streaked. I believe it because there is a double pane glass and the spatters are between the glass.

Side swing door double oven

We bought the oven because of the doors and that they swing to the side not down like almost all ovens. With a double oven when the door open down it makes it difficult for a short person to put food in or get the food out so this style is safer and easer to work with. The main problem is the temperature control. We have tried adjusting the temp through the system controls but that did not help so we keep a thermometer in ovens so we can adjust the temp to the right level. An oven this expensive should not have this problem. Also the lights cannot be controlled separately through the light control on the control panel but they can on the app on your phone, what is that about.

I was so excited about the new oven to replace my 16 year old GE Profile oven. I think it can be wonderful, however there is a problem with the top unit. The door is difficult to open and the trim on the left side doesn™€™t line up. The installer says there is nothing wrong so Lowe™€™s refuses to make it right. The defect is noticeable and my neighbor™€™s identical oven does not have this issue. It™€™s a $5000 appliance so any reasonable person would expect resolution. Hoping GE will step in so I can give this product the 5 star review it deserves.

I have always craved to have a wall oven, long before I entered the kitchen professionally...probably was the Brady Bunch that set it all in motion. The wife's kitchen plan, pushed the height of our unit to a level that only the swing doors could accommodate her vertical challenges, but brought out the the excited little kid in me to own an oven similar to those I used professionally. Love the air fryer option, double convection is a major plus for when I feed 20 plus during the holidays. Lower upgraded sliding racks are a very nice touch. Alexa works great with this unit as well as the app. Looks amazing, can wait to use the proofing option(Florida AC does not make proofing easy for breads). Only complaint is the timer is too quiet...but that is an easy work around.

Love the sideways opening doors and the easy pull-out shelves! Together, they make it so easy to put bake goods in & out of the ovens. Only negatives: 1. Slight misalignment between top control panel & doors. Haven™€™t looked yet to see if I can correct it. 2. Directions for installation are wrong. If you need to use the bottom rails, do NOT put them as far out as the cabinet edge. The oven almost fits in between them if you do and doesn™€™t not set flat. The rails need to be spaced in about 1.5™€ so they sit directly under the ovens. Do that and the ovens slide right in. 3. Instructions are also incorrect in that the doors do NOT come off, much less they do not open downward.

They don™€™t work!

Purchased this double oven due to how the doors opened. Waited 2 months for them to come in. They came to install them today. Started right up, had to leave them running for an hour to burn off the manufacturing stuff. 20 minutes after the initial install the installer left. After an hour we turned both ovens off and started the WiFi set up. Got to the part where they have you put in a code into to the app and the screen went black. Thought the breaker tripped. Checked the breaker and it was fine. Turned the breaker off and back on still nothing. Called the installer, he said to turn the breaker off for 30 minutes and turn it back on. Still nothing. Called Lowe™€™s, they opened a ticket and someone is supposed to call in 2 days to schedule someone to come and take a look at them. So here I am still without ovens. I paid a lot of money for an appliance that does not work and as of right now there is no resolution. Very disappointed in GE right now.

My new oven was just installed today. The installation went smoothly and the installers were wonderful. I am so impressed by the quality and the new Technology that I can™€™t wait to really use it. It linked with my Wi-Fi easily. I am a senior, so the side opening doors are extremely important to me due to the fact that I™€™m at an age where heavy items are hard for me to put in and take out of the oven. My previous review was a 1, because of a broken door on install. I installed this oven on December 21st, during warm up the inside tempered glass broke. I contacted GE the following Monday and was helped immediately. The parts were ordered, shipped, received, and installed by January 5th. Mind you, this was a special order oven not an off the shelf one. Very impressed with GE.

Purchased the oven and immediately installed and put it to use™€¦oven braised osso buco for 16. 2 huge pans. The gliding rack is great annd the swing open door makes loading and removal of large items a breeze. Easy to set up and get it up and running. Can™€™t wait to explore the other features. It looks great in the kitchen and the upgrade from a single to double ovens is just fantastic. I did lose a minimal amount of cabinet space at the bottom to accommodate the larger oven but converting that to a pull out drawer.

We wanted a higher end double oven for our new house. I noticed that a swing open door units were new on the market. The swing open doors eliminated the barrier created with the drop down doors. It is so much easier and safer to retrieve HOT cooked items from deep inside the oven. They became so popular, we ended up waiting almost 7 months for delivery. Bought this along with a number of other GE Profile kitchen appliances. Requires wifi connection opening you up to having your network hacked and all your information leaked online. I refuse to have any appliance that is glorified spyware in my home. Will be cancelling the order.

It™€™s brand new and haven™€™t used the oven much but love it so far. It is the most affordable oven with frech doors. Mo more reaching over the top oven door. It is really aesthetically attractive with a nice bright colorful digital display

Product malfunctioned under warranty, NOT covered

Bottom oven has never worked properly, and keeps overheating and shutting off whenever it is used. This issue was brought up to GE while under warranty, and they sent someone out to "fix it" but it didn't solve the issue. By the time they were notified again that the fix didn't work, the warranty date had passed and they refused to address it any further. We also had an extended warranty purchased through GE which we have repeatedly attempted to use to fix the problem, also to no avail. At this point it's been over a year of a malfunctioning double oven in while only 1 oven works and the other is just a wall decoration. Very disappointing. Will never purchase GE again.

We love the ovens! When our contractor installed them, they™€™d never seen ovens that opened to the left. Love having the ability to turn them on from my phone. They seem to cook a little hot, so we™€™ve placed a thermometer in the oven to see how much it is off from what it™€™s set at. Our only issue is that the top right of the ovens where the touch screen is does not align to the doors of the oven. No picture we seen only do not show this. I was trying to upload a picture to this review but this survey all though states I can, there is no way for me to do it from my phone.

Great design. Lower oven unusable.

Love the design and the functionality of the side swinging doors. However, the lower oven has never reliably worked. Repeatedly get a F353 error code when the lower oven heats up, then the entire oven turns off and will not function again until the oven cools down. Had GE service replace the cooling fan that was supposed to be the issue, and immediately upon trying to use the lower oven again the same error code appeared. Really wish that after purchasing a double wall oven I could use both ovens.

GE Profile Double Wall Oven is amazing!

I am in love with my new GE Profile Double Wall Oven with left hand swing! I thought my previously owned 20 year old GE Profile double wall oven was awesome (and it was), but this new oven is absolutely over the top! It is amazing how fast it heats up, cooks evenly and accurately, and has so many bells and whistles to use and customize to your own likes and needs. The convection bake function is flawless, the air fry bake is a game changer and I'm just getting started with learning and using the plethora of functions. Now that I'm getting older and seem to be the incredible shrinking woman - haha (I used to be 5'6" and am now 5'3"), it had become too difficult to reach and use my prior top oven. The left hand swing open doors on this oven have enabled me to use both the top and lower ovens again. I can't tell you how excited I am about this new double oven. Although I'm not a fan of wi-fi gadgets, I find myself actually having fun using the wi-fi features on it. I am, and have been a loyal owner of many GE appliances for over 30 years to include upright freezers, front load washer and dryer, glass cooktop, and refrigerator. All of my GE appliances have served me very well. Did I mention that I love my new ovens? Run, don't walk, and get this oven. You can thank me later.

I LOVE my new GE double wall oven! What a clean sleek look it has added to my kitchen. After install, I downloaded the Smart HQ app. There is a bit of a learning curve to the app. So many features to use for the ovens, bake, conv. bake, air fry, etc. Amazing! As far as I can tell from baking cookies and muffins, the accuracy of the oven temps -in both ovens- is perfect. More than anything, I love how both ovens have side swinging doors, I never knew what I was missing. So glad I made this purchase! I highly recommend this product.
