No longer can be repaired

When the over worked we loved it. I used it all the time. Now things break so not a big deal...however, our oven of just over 5 years in age quit working and it CANNOT be repaired because GE no longer makes the part (SAIL SWITCH) that broke. You can still buy new ovens needing the SAIL SWITCH part, so when those break you will not be able to fix them. I have searched in vain for a used oven i can strip for this part. Or any online / retail store than has one in stock. Am looking at appliance "junkyards", but so far no luck. I am beyond frustrated. NOT that it broke...but that GE no longer supports this model and others that are so so recent in age.

Perfect concept oven.

We had this oven in our previous house and couldn't get it in the new build because of supply issues. Eventually found one after living in new place six months and grabbed it. That's how much I love this oven. The double oven designing a single oven space is genius (and not offered in other brands). I use the smaller upper oven 75% of the time which saves on energy costs. Good to have the bigger one for those times when you need it. I love this oven!

When the oven works, I like the way it cooks and having two ovens in the space of a single oven. But this oven hasn't been in use for three years and the same part (fan) just broke for the third time!!!! This part tends to be out of stock, leaving my without an oven for months at a time.

Single Double Perfection!

What a brilliant idea and perfect for everyone! We use the upper smaller oven constantly now since it heats up to any temperature in only a couple of minutes. It is the perfect size for a large baking sheet of anything which is what we're cooking 95% of the time. It will fit a large casserole dish easily. When we turn off the oven it cools off within 5 minutes. It keeps our kitchen cooler and we use less energy. Haven't used the bottom one yet but it looks the same just bigger for something like a turkey or multiple larger items. No more trying to figure out how to cook multiple items at multiple temperatures!! Genius!!

Heats up quickly. Cools down quickly. I can cook different items at different temperatures at the same time. Takes up the same space my old oven occupied. The outside doesn™€™t get hot, very good safety feature if you have small children. Looks great in my kitchen with my older appliances. My only wish is that the control panel buttons would light up when touched.

Replacement oven for Whirlpool Gold

This oven was a replacement for a 20 year old Whirlpool Gold oven, The product looks sharp, fits perfectly and so far has operated well. My kitchen doesn't have room for double oven and this solved my problem for wanting to be able to cook at two different temps in a smaller oven setup. The racks are a bit funky but this would be my only complaint. Love the meat probe and ability to manage the oven on/off based on the temperature of the meat.

Love this oven! I replaced my 20 year old GE oven with this one and couldn't be happier. Easiest installation (per my husband) straight from the box to the slot, was able to use it immediately. Love the convection, this is my first experience with this feature and it's great. I read another review that said the oven was very loud when using convection mode, but mine is quiet, can barely hear it. Highly recommend this oven.

Nice Oven But Misleading Picture; Controls are LOW

My contractor installed this oven today. I was super excited about finally using it because I™€™ve been wanting this over for my kitchen remodel for years. I came home expecting it to be fantastic but instead I found I had made a gross miscalculation in the location of the controls. I installed this under a glass top cooktop in a base cabinet. There is a picture of this exact installation on this website and when I was researching this oven I saw the picture and thought, ™€œHey, that looks great!™€ Well in actuality the controls are very, very low. This oven really is meant to be installed as a wall oven raised up higher than in a base cabinet. GE ought to remove that picture and not encourage people to buy it for under a cooktop installation. I am not quite sure what I™€™m going to do. I may swap it out for a new one. Also, my contractor said that during the installation one of the bolts that holds up the inner rack on the lower oven sheared off. Hopefully that doesn™€™t end of being a big deal but it is concerning. Overall my expectations were super high and I was definitely let down.

I love having two ovens. I was a little concerned at the bottom oven would be too small™€¦ That doesn™€™t seem to be a problem. However, when I bake cookies, the bottom of the cookies always get done too quickly. I™€™ve tried putting them on the top shelf that doesn™€™t seem to help. I haven™€™t used it enough yet to see how other things cook, but I hope that doesn™€™t continue to be a problem.It happens in both ovens. I would™€™ve given it five stars if I thought it had more even heating.

TWO FOR THE SPACE OF ONE

I bought a home with a single oven which made entertaining hard when cooking multiple items. I had always wanted a double oven but could not figure a way to obtain enough space. Then I saw an advertisement for this GE product. I had previously owed GE monogram appliances so i knew it would be a quality product. The only small item is that the top rack does not slide easily but am very excited about the purchase overall.

We liked the idea of getting two ovens in the space for one, but have been surprised by how much we actually use both ovens. We didn't realize how often we would compromise by adjusting time or temperature to bake two things simultaneously. Now we preheat separately and bake each thing as intended. Or we can broil in one and bake in the other. The front control panel is a little busy but easy to learn and operate. Overall, we really like this oven and would definitely recommend it. The only minor nag is that the oven racks are a little hard to slide as delivered, but a little food-grade high-temp grease took care of the issue. It would be nice if a little of this grease was supplied with the oven.

Very easy to use. Controls very simple and intuitive. Have not tried anything beyond simple bake or convection. Works great. I rated it low for "value" because it is NOT a cheap unit. It was pretty expensive as ovens go, but we really wanted the double oven and it had to go under the counter. This is the ONLY unit we found that fit our needs. Not a criticism, but if you are remodeling and putting it under a counter, this unit is really too large for a standard oven cabinet. We ended up not using the cabinet and installing it as a stand alone unit.

Perfect ovens for my needs!

I am in love with these ovens- makes perfect pizza, and the ovens are super deep; I can easily put my large cookie sheet in with room to spare. They heat up super fast, and I love the option of either bake or convection bake in the lower oven. You won™€™t be sorry if you purchase these ™€œtwin™€ ovens. The only glitch was that the installers discovered my space that held my previous GE Profile wall oven was 1/4™€ more shallow, so I need to put a wooden trim around it to fill the space around the wall that leaves a gap.

Fabulous double oven for under counter

We just remodeled our kitchen and took down some walls to create more open space and a large center island. We no longer had wall space for standard size double ovens, and needed to find a "wall oven" to put under the counter in the island. This GE Twin Flex model is perfect for our needs!! We were a little frightened to order it because we could not see it in any showroom in Southern California. But the reviews online were very good and since we didn't find anything else similar and thought this would meet our needs better than anything else we saw, we bought it anyway. We love it. First of all, the top very slim oven is terrific. Most things we cook (other than a roast or a turkey which are not cooked frequently) fit in this slim oven. Great for roasting vegetables, anything on a sheet plan, most baking, pizza, meat loafs, etc. work great. And you don't need to bend down far to open it. And I don't feel like I'm using a ridiculous amount of energy to heat it. The bottom oven allows for more baking or a turkey (14 pound one worked fine) or roast or if you need to cook two different things at two different temperatures (one in the upper oven and one in the lower oven). It's also good looking and easy to operate. Thank you GE!!

So far, so good, based on two weeks' use. I'd never had double-ovens before, and I feared a turkey wouldn't fit. I successfully cooked an 18 pound bird to perfection, and for once I was able to cook, simultaneously, multiple sides, so that all the cooked food was hot at the same time. The cooking temperature and time needed to cook both aligned with my expectations.

I love the look and the flexibility of having 2 ovens. I would prefer 1 regular size wall oven and one slim oven, but no company makes such a product. This is the closest oven to a double oven when you don™€™t have enough space. Heats up quickly. Lower oven racks are incorrectly installed backwards and upside down in my oven. I am calling customer service to get corrected.

The top oven will heat to 425 degrees in a matter of minutes. The pizza mode cooks a frozen pizza very evenly. You don't need a full size oven for 95% of your baking. The bottom oven will cook a 20-22 pound turkey. Being able to have two different temperatures is great.

The old GE Profile oven was way too big for our family. By using this new oven, we got rid of our countertop convection oven which gave us a lot of new counter space. It was an easy install and fit our old GE Profile oven™€™s dimensions exactly. The cord was on the opposite side of the old GE Profile, but it was easy to move over to the new side which is on the right side of the unit. It is very quiet to use. It holds all of our pans as before. And it is super quick to heat up, thus saving us electricity.

Since becoming empty nesters, we were using the toaster oven a lot. Trying to make pans fit became an issue. This oven is perfect for not heating an entire oven for smaller dinners and regular sized pans and casserole dishes are an easy fit. The oven heats up very fast and cooks quickly with convection. I am very pleased with this oven. The only downside is I™€™m always wiping finger prints off the handles. Wish they were smudge proof stainless.

We specifically bought this appliance to have two ovens, and yet still fit under our induction cooktop. Works exactly as expected! Please note the doors are not flushed to the wall, as the top edge of the doors have vents. This didn't bother us, but consider making your countertop lip stick out a little further out so that spilled liquids don't fall into the door vents.

This is a great option to have 2 ovens in a single location. Additional benefit with smaller volume upper oven that will heat to commanded temperature more quickly and more efficient for the smaller items. I will add on note of caution. If you have a gas cooktop directly above this oven, it is likely you will have interference with the top of the oven and the gas line/regulator. In our case we had to lower the oven by modifying the cabinet. It was well worth the additional expense because we love this oven and the ability to cook two items at different temperatures simultaneously.

I wanted a double oven for a long time so I could cook multiple items at different temps. The only way to do that is to remodel a wall to fit this and lose cabinet space and my in-wall microwave. Great oven!

Great to have two ovens in the space that we only had one before. It allows for preparing so many more meals using two different oven temperatures. It also helps by keeping food warm in one while baking in the other.

So Efficient!

With just two of us, it makes cooking so efficient because we use the upper oven most frequently. It preheats very quickly, which means I am in and out of the kitchen much faster!
