Received this ahead of moving into a new house and it has been a lifesaver... We're looking forward to using it for its original function, but in the meantime, this fridge has been able to fit all kinds of extra beverages and wet paint brushes. It is certainly large, as we wanted, and will look great in our new island.

Repair cost for compressor cost almost as much as unit purchase price. I bought all appliances thru GE direct as a bundle for my home. In the 7 years since, I have had to repair dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and now the wine cooler which is by far most expensive repair. Come on GE!!

We just bought our second wine chiller. Hopefully it holds up as well as our first one that expired after 16 years. The plastic door on the new one is a bit of a turn off. Therefore my ratings apply to the unit that just expired model (ZDWR240).

Some bottles do not fit. If they are longer or larger circumference they do not wok in the shelves. If you open a bottle and don™™t finish it, you cannot put a cork in it and return to fridge for storage-too long. So guess drinking the whole bottle is the only option unless you want to leave out at room temp or refrigerate in the big fridge. Still, has great capacity for the space it takes with those cautions.

This is a great product! It keeps your fridge ration of your wines at the right temperature. I like the space and it holds most bottles. Sometimes the door seems to be popped open I don™™t know if that™™s a suction issue or a wino not shutting the door just right.

The wine fridge works as described. Cools great. Looks good. You need to remove the wood fronts completely to remove the plastic protector. The one draw back I found is the shelf™™s catch on the bottle below if you have the larger bottles ™3-3/8 diameter ™ . A little more clearance is needed between shelves.

This wine fridge came with our new home. We're at the point where we're going to try to sell it. Full disclosure that we're not wine drinkers and have been using this to store other beverages. While I'm sure this works fine for wine, it has to constantly work to keep the temperature down for the beverages we store it in. As it's located in a high traffic area, the noise this machine makes to keep the temp down is a huge deal breaker for us. It creates a constant mechanical humming that grates on your nerves.
I think this would be fine for folks that just want to chill their wine, but the noise it makes to keep things at its coldest setting isn't ideal if you're storing anything else in it.

Offers a good range of temperatures for chilling whites ready to drink OR reds for long-term hold.
Issue: racks are too narrow and do not accommodate bottles in larger formats, including champagne. Very frustrating. And the interior light bulb is already done.

All good, except that the wood front of the shelves being fully wrapped with plastic made it impossible to remove the plastic completely without first unscrewing the wood fronts and removing them. This would be a costly step if we purchased these for our commercial/multi-family projects. Wasn™™t too bad for me this time since I only bought 1

I wish I had known that this unit doen't hold "fatter" bottles. Works fine with normal wine bottles, but the thicker based ones have to be put in the top tray or forced in, resulting in torn labels. We buy alot of wines from thee vineyards in Oregon, and many come with the wide based bottles. Total bummer.

We have had this product a little over 5 years, and over time, the noise kept getting louder and louder, and condensation began to form on the rear interior wall. There is likely a slow freon leak or obstruction somewhere in the coolant line. This has likely been present since we purchased this unit new. Two different service people advised repairing is not worth the price of the unit. The unit looks nice, but so what. Very disappointing

Purchased early November, 2018 to replace a worn out wine refrigerator from another manufacturer. (We have 3 40 bottle wine refrigerators from 3 different manufacturers.) For the past 2 months we could not be happier with the styling, performance and operation of this refrigerator. I consider this a mid priced unit and (so far) works as well as more expensive models.
We have had other Profile by GE appliances and all have performed well.

Quiet, attractive, holds more wine, and has a significantly better/ longer warranty than the all of the others in this price range. Works beautifully as a built-in. Wish the shelves would adjust a bit for larger format bottles, and a LED temp display would be a nce upgrade

On a positive note, I am happy with the way this wine fridge cools the wine and that it does so very quietly. However, I have two pretty major complaints that really make me wish I had bought a different wine fridge altogether. 1) This fridge does not fit all 750ml wine bottles (the ones that are made for burgandy or Rhône style wines are just slightly too round around the middle). I did not expect it to accommodate larger specialty bottles, but I do expect a wine fridge to have drawers that are deep enough to accommodate a standard size Frank Family Chardonnay or Turley Pinot Noir. It looks like our only option will be to completely remove one drawer to accommodate the extra 1/4™ height we need for these bottles. What a waste of space this will be!
The other issue I have with this wine fridge is the handle. The handle is the full width of the refrigerator that is shaped like a big scoop. It works fine to open the fridge. Unfortunately, it works even better at collecting crumbs and dust. I™™m not sure why they had to make the space for your fingers so deep in the middle and so small at the edges. Be prepared to keep Q-tips nearby to clean out the crumbs and dust in the handle that are highly visible when standing next to and looking down on this fridge. Someone was not thinking about practical design with this wine fridge! I definitely would buy a different one if we hadn™™t had our custom cabinetry designed for this sized wine fridge.
