I love this range. We have a previous version of this range that we purchased 10 years ago. The only difference is that ours had a analog clock on the back panel.
What I like is that nothing is electronic, except for the ignitors. The knobs on the front are simply mechanical valves that control the gas flow. This means the stovetop can be used even if the electricity is off. Simply light with a match.
Electronic controls are unreliable and will eventually fail. This range will last the rest of my life without any problems.

I just got my gas stove hooked up by the contractors with Home Depot this afternoon. I cooked with it the very first time last night. It did a very beautiful job. I can™™t wait to use the oven next week! I™™m very happy with my gas stove and it was on sale. I highly recommend this gas stove!

This is a great stove. Pretty much works like the old one. Would be a better stove if it had a clock. So beware there is no clock on the stove.

New GE oven model JGBS30DEK7WW installed five days ago. I wanted a basic oven with no extra electronic features or fancy bells and whistles (more things to go wrong with it or parts that are no longer available). I only used the oven once so far and my cookies came out perfect.

I just used it for the first time today and I am working on adjusting to it being non digital but I love that it won't be using electricity when I'm not using it. I also like that I now have all 4 burners working and my oven is registering the correct temperature. As my muffins are perfect.

The product seems to be a good unit but beware...the coated grates are slick. The cookware can slide around easily, even when simply stirring the food contained within. An accidental bump of the cookware while on the grate may cause an accident. Be careful.

I absolutely enjoy the back to basics ! Satisfaction in simplicity. The only drawback, I find, is the broiler on bottom is cumbersome to use. Doesn™™t come with a broiler pan either. I™™m also happy it™™s made in the USA. Glad to support business in our country.

We bought this item on July 2 deliver on July 5 nice and efficient. We appreciate that, and the price is unbeatable, however , unit was installed on the fifth and our tenant didn™™t move in until the 12th by time the felt the gas smell, and called the gas company and being told that the stove unit is defective, I need to be replaced

I chose this range after my old one burned out its thermostat; it had had self-cleaning as a feature. This new range is the perfect size. It meets my requirements for a simple, clean-line look; four burners and an oven. No air frying. No convection fans. No self-cleaning. I cook/bake for two. The burners I calibrated easily using the controls and provided directions. I've already baked two pizzas and it browned the bottoms like a champ. Cakes bake evenly and quickly- took 4 minutes off the recommended bake time! The top burners have multiple ports for flames to exit, so things cook faster than with my old stove that only had a few ports on each burner; faster cooking!
Both range and oven wipe clean very easily due to their high gloss finish. Be careful with the burner grates as they have an attractive high polish and skillets move easily across their surface. I am very happy with this range.

This range is very efficient compared to my old one, and that takes some getting used to. The burners are quick to heat, as is the oven. I baked a cake yesterday from a mix and the range for baking was 28 to 35 minutes; the cake was done in 26 minutes. I overcooked potatoes for a potato salad because the burners are so efficient, so I made mashed potatoes instead!
I used an oven thermometer(which I had on hand already) to adjust the control dials. Read the directions and follow them. This range is a bit smaller than my old gas range, not a problem. I did not want a self-cleaning range as the thermostats burn out. I didn't want air frying or convection fans; too many moving parts to wear out. I insisted on a simple gas range, and this one is perfect. The range top configuration is fine. The finish is easy to keep clean, especially the grates and burner caps.

I believe there is great potential with the burners for a severe third degree burn here.
I am a die hard GE customer, but this stove and the product maker and or the buyers for GE did not conduct a through review. There are some stove top pots that slide when used on this stove, hot water , hot oil, food cooking could slip and fall on a child, animal or the persons cooking.
It™™s actually an easy fix, GE should replace all the pot supports with a not slip version. I™™m disappointed with my stove because of this safety issue and I had to replace my pots with heavy ones which, with arthritis is difficult to lift up with and without food. The QC AVP may want to review this and the Safety team.

I received GE Model JGBS30DEK6WW in early May 2025. The store is working well but I began disappointed when I burned my finger touching the front part above the knobs. The entire length of the store was extremely hot. I was cooking a steak at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and touched the front part of the stove and I was burned. My old stove did not do that. Please let me know if this is normal? Besides that the stove is working fine.
