The washer does not clean my clothes! -- Especially whites, even when I use its "White" cycles and try different detergents and boosters! To "trick" it into putting enough water into the tub to cover everything in there, I first set it to "Delicates" which is the only cycle setting that puts a lot of water into the tub. Then, I hit the "Stop" button and re-set it to light, medium, heavy or whatever other setting I may want. Note: washing on the "Delicate" cycle does NOT clean clothes. So although I need to use it initially to get enough water to properly fill the tub, I do not wash on that setting. BOTTOM LINE - it is very difficult if not impossible to get things clean in this washer!!

I can't even put this in words - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GE Products - especially this washer/dryer combo.
Mine broke shortly after receiving this unit. It flooded my home and now I have to fix things and run after the Service Partner who fixed the unit to get it updated so that the insurance is accepting the report and giving me HOPEFULLY some little money to get some things fixed... What a waste of money, lifetime and bad service!

The absolute worst washer and dryer. The dryer worked for about 6 months and needed repaired. And needed repair again. Oh, and needed repaired again. It's a pain to repair, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

What I HATE™¦the movers tore my laminated floor moving it in laundry room. They were hurried , not caring & didn™™t tell me they tire my floor! I noticed the next day so what™™s the point
It WAS a brand new home. I have to see that ™glued™™ torn floor everyday-I hate it! It makes me mad & sad!

Love the full-size capacity of this unit. My major complaint is the performance with clothes. I have black marks on clothing from the dryer; I've read where others have the same issue. And then, if you have clothes with draw-strings with metal tips on the draw strings, the dryer loves to "eat those". They get caught in the plastic lining around the door and the dryer rips them off. It's frustrating - seems like the could design a better product to not do this.

What I don't like is every load of light clothes or sheets come out with black marks on it. This is the second one I owned and I will never buy another one. I put a down full length coat in it and it pulled the connection right out of the wall!!! I will NEVER buy another GE product. And I owned GE product for over 46 years.

Terrible product, we got the first one and it was defective, the replacement unit, also defective! It has been 3 weeks without laundry, which is hard with a young child. We expected so much more from GE as I have other older GE appliances. Never purchasing another GE product again, in fact, I am getting rid of all other GE appliances after this.

I leased to own a new unit. Haven't had it 5 months yet and it quit running the cycles for washing machine properly. Doesn't drain and spin. Rental company brought me a loaner just like mine so that mine can be fixed. The loaner has the same problem. This thing is $1500 worth of junk

I wouldn™™t change a thing about this appliance. I am short with back problems. No more standing on my tiptoes to get laundry out of washer and no more sore ribs while pulling clothes out to put in dryer. Plus no more bending over so far to put clothes in dryer or getting them out. I no longer dread doing laundry! Very happy with our purchase of the stacked washer & dryer. Like I said, it™™s perfect!

Really nice unit. Doesn't use a ton of water, the drums are HUGE. It does make some weird noises, and I needed to read the manual ,but once I got everything figured out it's easy to operate.

Bought this washer dryer combo 3 years ago and for 3 years it worked fine. However the washer recently stopped working. GE sent a tech out free of charge which was nice, but the tech said the transmission blew and it would cost $1,300 in parts and labor to fix it, which is literally the price of a brand new machine. Three years is an extremely short life cycle for a $1.3k appliance- I™™ve never seen or even heard of a washer breaking so quickly. You shouldn™™t need an extended warranty for a machine to last three years. Very disappointed! What a piece of junk.

This dryer came with our new construction condo. O see the builder was going cheap. We only use the dryer once a week. We have had to replace the belt on this dryer twice. Once after 14 months and then again 10 months later. Will never buy a GE product again

Worst washer ever! Water saving feature saves so much water, half of the items that come out do not even get wet and the detergent remains in the washer. Washer does not have an agitator, so clothes lay in the bottom of washer and barely move. Also there's no fabric softener dispenser. The old style combo was much better.

I am so disappointed in GE, an American manufacturer for decades, you should be ashamed to put this product out to your fellow citizens. Im sure the CEO, CFO, COO, etc are making their huge salaries, while you look for the cheapest possible labor and parts that you stick your customers with. I bought the first one it didnt switch from wash to other cycles, they sent a replacement and the support bracket for washer cylinder fell off on first use. Who is in charge of quality control? Fire them immediately!

After 18 months of use, the dryer broke and needed service. GE sent a technician out for a free service call, which fixed it... for 3 months.
Now the dryer is broken again, with the exact symptoms as previously.
This product is obviously a defective design, and needs to be recalled!

I™™ve always wanted a stackable, washer and dryer, but after having a front loader for years, I was very disappointed with them.
After checking the ratings I decided to go with this unit because I prefer a standard washer with an agitator™¦. I am amazed on the size and capacity of the washer and dryer seems to be a lot bigger than the others I have previously owned!
I love the extra room I have in my laundry room as well!! Overall I™™m Very happy with my purchases

Terrible. We have had our machine for 6 months and we are already on our second repair. The dryer belt has broken twice and we are NOT over filling the machine. A pair of jeans and several tshirts shouldn't be too much to wash at a time.

Poor Quality, DO NOT RECOMMEND. GC who purchased 12 units. 8 had issues with lid lock. 2 have had multiple service calls. 1 has never worked on 8th service call. GE Refuses to send a new unit until all options are exhausted. So my clients have had to deal with repeated service calls. I decided to save my reputation and buy them a different brand. GE Customer Relations is zero help. Just follow a script and offer no solutions.

I have the white molded agitator in my washer and a small piece broke off at first. A few days ago a larger piece broke off. This machine was purchased approximately 1 year ago in January or first of February. How can this be repaired and why would the agitator be breaking apart for no reason.

Moved into an apartment that has this thing installed.
The washer only fills the tub maybe halfway on its highest setting. If you try to do a normal load of laundry most of your clothes just sit outside the water being lightly splashed by the agitator while it makes some of the most annoying sounds on Earth (sounds like it's grinding ducks in there). I've resorted to only filling the thing with about half of what I'd normally do. At first I assumed the thing was broken, but after reading other reviews apparently it's normal for this thing.
Additionally the dryer takes forever. For example, I had to dry a blanket 4 x 90 minutes. I've never had a problem with this particular blanket in any other dryer before.

The dryer leaves black marks on thinner items that get in the space where the black rubber seal is. It ruins sheets, pillow cases and any garment small enough to find it™™s way to that gap.
