Saved money on my electric bill- had a fridge that was 18+ years old. BUT, I have a repair person coming to fix a known issue, there is frost forming on the freezer along the door. So that is not great, it is only a handful of months old.

There is only 2 shelves my old Refrigerator had 3, I cannot get what I had in my old one in the new refrigerator accessibly. Capacity seems smaller than my old one as well. The space that the refrigerator takes up is also more than my old one. Lower drawers also do not carry the temperature to well.

It's a basic refrigerator. Based on the cubic feet capacity, I thought it would be the same as my previous refrigerator, but this one seems smaller inside. I struggle to fit things. My old one had 3 door shelves vs. 2 in this one and I was also disappointed that it doesn't have a cheese drawer like my other one. All in all, it's just okay. The temperature is good and consistent. The crisper drawers work very well. The freezer is actually a bit more spacious. Even though I can only fit a standard size refrigerator, I would have liked the interior design to be better.

The fridge is a bit over 2 months old and has started to make a rattling noise. I am going to the dealership this morning since they asked for a video with the noise. Hopefully they will take care of the problem or provide me with a new fridge.

This is a great fridge! Sleek and stay cold! The bottom drawers could be a little bigger. I like the way I can move the shelves around to fit my needs. The door shelves have a lot of space and I love that! I think overall this is a great fridge and even better that it is energy efficient.

I saw a couple of dents in the product upon delivery where the men who brought the refrigerator immediately took photos to see if I could get compensated for the damages that don't appear to alter the running of the machine. I am very happy with the refrigerator on the first day of turning it on. Very quiet and efficient running and all the item that I put into the refrigerator were properly cooled down when I returned home from work on that first day which made me very happy. I hope to get many years usage out of this fine looking machine that is just the right size for my needs.

I love my fridge. I like it better than the one i replaced and it was more up to date. This refrigerator provides enough space for my family of 5. Every one has their own space in the fridge and we could not make that happen with our previous refrigerator. This freezer is super cold. It™€™s doesn™€™t run loud and apparently doesn™€™t take much energy to run because I haven™€™t noticed a change in my utility bill.

Uses 10x more electric energy than claimed

The energy star label for this refrigerator says it should use, on avrage, 352kwhours of energy per year. That translates to an average of 1kwhour per day. It has been running for 3 weeks since installation and has been using between 6 kwhours and 10 kwhours PER DAY- 6 to 10 times what it should be. I opened the refrigerator and freezer compartment doors once after 1 day to verify the thing was cooling properly, and it was. I have not opened the doors a single time since them as I became suspicious of the excessive energy use. I now have to go through an ordeal to get a warranty service call. The initial response I got was that the refrigerator is operating normally and no warranty service is appropriate. I wish I did not trust the GE brand name when I bought this.

We had to buy one smaller than our previous one, and it has been a challenge to adjust to the decreased capacity. We did get an extra shelf which helps a lot, but I do miss a "meat drawer" and an egg compartment. Also, the wire shelves take a lot of getting used to. I like how clean and bright it seems on the inside, and it makes ample amounts of ice.

Very LOUD NOISE

My landlord bought this General Electric fridge (Model #: GTE17DTNRWW) at the end of last year. From day one, it made an incredibly loud, annoying noise. After multiple complaints, they finally sent a technician to check it out. Surprisingly, even though it was brand new, the tech decided to replace the fan, thinking the noise might be a manufacturing issue. The replacement arrived and it still makes the same loud noise. The GE technician then told me that this sound is ™€œnormal™€ for this model. I find that hard to believe. How can a brand new appliance be expected to sound like if you are in an airplane ? It™€™s frustrating especially when I™€™m just trying to relax or cook in my kitchen. I do not recommend this fridge. If you™€™re looking for peace and quiet at home, this is not the appliance for you. This noisy fridge sounds like a motor constantly running.

This refrigerator was purchased as an extra garage refrigerator. The smell is pretty strong inside even after cleaning but I suspect it will subside over time. It is quite loud when the compressor is running. It is in the garage so that isn't a big issue but might be if it were Ina kitchen.

First night it began a loud vibrating or buzzing like the fan is hitting something and still does. By the end of week 2 it stopped getting cold in the fridge and ruined $240 in groceries. I looked and there's was ice blocking the duct. It seems to be working since I paid a local handyman to come look at it
