I've only had the dryer about a month and so far, so good. This dryer replaced my Maytag of 32 years and I have to say, "they don't make them like they used to". The door on this dryer is difficult to close (takes a little umph) and it is obviously made of lesser quality materials. The lint screen is also made of lesser quality materials and does not slide in and out of the compartment easily. I miss my old Maytag- nothing lasts forever.
Overall, I think the price was good for the product.

I love my new dryer, it is large enough to dry my queen size duvet, It also has dried 2 average size pillows at the same time. It is almost big enough for me to crawl into!!

Reversing the door to swing left does not work so well.
Hinges don't fit well into the molded steel.
The door takes and extra slam to shut.

If I could give a -100 stars ratings I would. This dryer came brand new with our newly built townhome, and it has been an absolute, dangerous nightmare since December 6, 2025. For over six months now (today is June 11, 2026), this machine has been nothing but an expensive, stressful paperweight in our new home.
The main, terrifying issue? The purple wiring kit keeps catching on fire.
This isn't just a basic mechanical breakdown; it™™s a massive safety hazard to our brand new house. You would think a company would take a literal fire hazard seriously, but their customer service is an absolute joke. Due to receiving little to no help from this company or the 3rd party service provider they are partnered with, we finally had to give up and buy our own brand new dryer with our own hard-earned money just to have working laundry.
Dealing with their support team has been exhausting. We have faced nothing but endless issues, including:
Constant rescheduling of our appointments at the very last minute.
Technicians completely ghosting us and never showing up after we took time out of our day to wait for them.
Incredible disrespect from staff. When I called to get this resolved, I was actually told I was being "very emotional" about a literal fire hazard in my home, all while they only offered a meager $75 check as a "courtesy."
Zero accountability from anyone on the phone.
It has been six months of laundromats, fire scares, financial strain, and broken promises. This company clearly does not care about product quality, customer safety, or basic human decency. Save your money, your sanity, and your house™"stay far away from this dryer!

The first new dryer only lasted three years. The drum would turn but no heat.
I replaced with the same model. It is working just fine. i hope this system will last much longer, yet today's product are not of great quality.

I™™m not able to rate this dryer because it never worked. My tenants just moved in and advised the dryer isn™™t working, we had an electrical company come out and determined that the electricity is not the issue, the board inside the dryer is bad. I™™m attempting to contact Warranty.

Dryer is okay, has alot of features. The knob to select a setting is hard to turn and never lands accurately on a setting. The buzzer is obnoxiously loud and buzzes about 5 to 6 times. Hate that!

I know it's been a year since we bought our new home. My wife normally does the laundry, but she's not here currently. So to stay on top of things I decided to take care of some for her. When I heard the washer stop I knew it was time to load the dryer. When I did I realized there was a screw missing. Originally it was covered by a sticker. It held the lint trap in place. Then I noticed the clip for the door was sorta screwd in. I'd recommend some quality control. Not sure what may happen. So far so good I guess. I'd attach pics but this doesn't seem to want to let me. What a shame.

It is a clothes dryer, NOT a new sports car. It does what it is support to do - DRY CLOTHES, not whistling Dixie while searching the internet! We didn't want all the expensive features that break down - just dry the clothes completely. IT DOES IT WELL. Our G.E. washer we bought several years ago has functioned flawlessly without all the fancy, unnecessary electronic gimmicks. G.E. - focus on building well made long lasting equipment and you will never go out of business.

The lint filter does not collect all the lint as the lint gathers below the filter. If you lift out the filter you see all the lint that has gathered below just sitting at the bottom. Had this for 6 months, asked an electrician to come out because i thought it was a power issue on my brand new home. electrician verified the dryer was dead. asked for warranty and had to pay for someone to come out a week later... no ty, ill never buy another GE product again

I like the dryer, but just about every time we dry a sweatshirt or sweatpants or something with drawstring it gets caught up on the inside of the drum frame real bad. Very annoying. It didn™™t do that for the first year and a half, owned it for a little over two years now. Heats up great but this has become a problem ð

So far, so good. Dryer had the extra bells and whistles that I had on my prior dryer. Ex: Sensor dry, notification buzz, temperature setting, reverse door. The only missing feature was the dryer rack but that wasn't a deal breaker since I hadn't used often.

I™™m going to have to get GE to come to my newly built house with new appliance because my fist set of linens dried in this dryer got snagged and ripped! I™™m actually very upset because I™™m a very first time home buyer by myself and now need to figure out why a brand new dryer is ruining my linens that I bought purposely for my first home. I know it™™s first work problems but I worked very hard to get hear and even after trying different cycles and lessening the loads to see if this helps , more and more HEAVILY snagged areas and slight rips. What™™s the purpose of having new appliances if within less than a month of occupancy it damages my linens and blankets.

I've been enjoying my GE dryer for a couple of weeks now. One of the favorite things that I like about it is it has a sensor cycle which automatically determines the fabric dryness, so I've noticed that I'm running the dryer less saving on electricity

I wanted a durable product. Usually problematic issues start with the electronic panel. I specifically wanted product without it, only with the mechanical knobs. Another good feature is the absence of an agitator. It is very harsh on a fabric and often ripped cloth apart.

It can take large capacities loads at a time and i an so happy i don't have to do multiple loads. Saves time. And the quality and performance of the cleaning, we can tell how clean our clothes are, especially since we work in healthcare, i am confident that our scrubs are clean.

Shortly after moving into our new home (GE appliances were supplied and installed by Builder), our dryer would not turn on when the start button was pushed. This was approximately 90 days from our closing date. The dryer had only been used twice by us.
GE service technician had to be sent out to our home to replace the "Start" button. Waiting on line and waiting to speak with a representative to schedule a service call with a GE technician was certainly not what we expected with a brand new product. Additionally, we had to stay at our house during the window the technician would arrive.
