Added door shelving from 2015 model GFE26GGHEWW that compressor froze up on (11 years). Shelving inside had less configuration options from previous model, but the slide shelf was a nice addition. Hopefully the large door shelves hold up better than previous model which were fragile. Lighting is also different, previous led lights were good, these seem good too. No turbo Freeze, only turbo cool.

Great features but problem with leveling and noise

I had this delivered about a week ago. I love the looks, the ease of everything, the ice cubes are great and the water is nice and cold. Temperature settings work great. Lighting is exceptional. I love the white color. The only problem I have is the noise and the installers could not level the refrigerator. And yes, my floor IS level. I can hear the noise 3 rooms away. Unfortunately, this will have to be replaced as the service guys could not level it and I'm not putting shims on one side of my brand new refrigerator. There is something definitely wrong with the bottom. Hopefully, the new one will fix the noise problem as well. Just a couple glitches, otherwise, I would love it.

This is the third refrigerator we™€™ve had in the past 7 years- you™€™d think that we™€™d learn our lesson with GE by now, but nope, we™€™re gullible enough to keep going back. This will ABSOLUTELY be the last appliance we EVER spend our money on with the GE-Haier name on it. The EXACT same issue on all three refrigerators have gone out each time- the compressor. This last time the fridge broke in April. After countless HOURS back and forth with GE, it was finally agreed that GE would extend our warranty (the one year warranty had expired in January 2025) through December of 2025 as a courtesy for all the issues we™€™ve encountered. It took until the end of July to get a service person to diagnose the issue- it was a leak that they were unable to locate, therefore, the fridge is deemed unrepairable. GE then stated that the extended warranty will only cover repairs, not replacement. We could purchase a new fridge from them for a discounted price. We reluctantly agreed to that as financially, it made sense to spend $1400 on the new fridge from them verses $2600 from a box store. I called GE back approximately 8 days after the email they sent with the offer and wouldn™€™t you know it- I waited to long to agree so the price would be higher. It was only a few dollars but absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. They ordered the fridge and it was delivered the first part of October. The company they hired to deliver had absolutely no business being in the delivery business. It took them 3 hours to get it inside our single store house. They didn™€™t know they needed to take the fridge doors off to get it inside. Once they did that, they got it into the kitchen and I™€™m not sure why or how, but our flooring was dented and scratched bad enough to where I filed with insurance to the tune of $1558 replacement cost. The also did not hang the doors on the fridge properly, so one door was higher than the other. It was almost impossible to close the door on one side of the fridge and when they forced it to shut so they could leave, it left a good size indention on the inside of the fridge. We called them to come back over the course of the next two months to fix the doors as the fridge was not usable. We kept getting the runaround and the delivery company would blame GE and GE would blame the delivery company. FINALLY on 05DEC2025, GE sent a repairman out to fix the doors, and with that, the repairman found two other issues, including the waterline that had incorrectly been hooked up. This ENTIRE ordeal has made me lose all respect for this brand. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer care.

It's noisy and we have already had the fan/motor replaced in the first week and didn't make any difference and they came out again and said that's just how their made -sad. Also, disappointed how difficult it is to now find white refrigerators - they should be the norm; not stainless steel.

Very disappointed with this refrigerator. From the first day of delivery is was noisy and the compressor was humming. You can hear the refrigerator running over the TV playing in another room. After having this refrigerator for only 2 weeks, it would not turn off and was constantly running. The temperature in the fridge section was below 32 degrees and getting colder, it would not turn off at the selected 37 degrees. I was advised I can't return the lemon refrigerator and I had to place a service call. So, after 3 attempts to fix it, if they can't get it working then GE will replace it. The situation is totally unacceptable especially after only a 2 week period not to mention the amount of food that was lost. GE should step up and replace this unit no questions asked. What a waste of money.

Full sized appliance with classic simplicity

My husband and I are entering our seventies and no longer have children in our home. Even though we live in a rural area, keeping our food supply maintained for two people can be trying. The capacity is great for a smaller household, full size refrigerator, plenty of drawers and the bottom freezer keeps all items frozen as long as you need it to with plenty of storage. I have had no issue with the reliability of this appliance. It's also beautiful due to its sleek design and attention to finishing. It has classic appeal and completely simple to operate and clean.

Not much interior light. Drawer and freezer dividers are plastic and only attached at one end. Vegetable drawer too short to hold head of lettuce. Can't store quart of milk upright. Door shelves on icemaker side so shallow can't hold much more than tube of tomato paste. No butter keeper. No air filter. No door alarm. Freezer spacious but only has one tray. Is deeper than previous fridge. B- for a grade. Was emergency purchase; wouldn't do again.

Replacement Refrigerator

It cools well and freezer is fine, but it makes a vibration noise. I had a five year service policy on my Kenmore refrigerator and this is a replacement for it. I was without a refrigerator from Oct. to August 7 . It took them this long to agree the Kenmore could not be repaired and to replace it. I had a GE Refrigerator before that lasted over 30 years. I have had the repairman out twice for the noise and all he did is use electrical tape to tape the water hose to back of refrigerator.. I am delighted to finally have a refrigerator again, but wish it made less noise.

Not GE Quality - Poorly Designed

Hated to replace my beloved 13 y/o white GE profile model which had issues eventually - but I LOVED it anyway! Considered paying $1700 to repair because I LOVED IT. Purchased this because there is no white in the new GE Profile and the GE Cafe's white model has "blingy" gold trim handles. This frig LOOKS GREAT but runs LOUDLY w/a crunching noise.i was afraid it wouldn't last a month. Very limited shelf arrangement options. Had to struggle with both hands to collaspe the "collapsible" shelf. Shelf rubs plastic on plastic screeches loudly and the front edges of the shelf are unaligned when pulled back in place. I had to finagle it to look like it should. You might want to pick what position you like best and leave it there. My old Profile's collapsible shelf glided with ease. CRISPERS DO NOT SEAL!!! CRISPERS DO NOT SEAL!!! Lower freezer drawer drags upper drawer out when it is pulled out which obstructs view of items in bottom drawer. In order to see food in bottom drawer I pushed upper all the way in which causes it to go over the back of bottom drawer. The bottom drawer then HITS the upper drawer when pushed back in. You'd have to hold the drawes while looking for items in bottom. DRAWERS SHOULD BE ON SEPARATE TRACKS!! This is a "starter" bottom freezer frig for sure. It is too much work to use the features - outside of just keeping your food cold. Didn't "feel like" I had a GE product at all - or maybe to be fair I should say it didn't feel like I had my original GE Profile (not sure of the quality of the new GE Profile - because it doesn't come in white- but consider paying the extra $$ to purchase it instead). Dissappointing. It felt like getting a dollar store brand of your favorite toy instead of the real deal on Christmas morning. Two stars because its a GE, it looks great, doorbfeatures seemed to work well, it gets cold and it is WHITE. Sent it back though and purchased my first Whirlpool instead. I'm praying. :).

Complaint: IAW owners manual I purchased u connect modules order# 1048723749 and 1048000938 to fit this refrigerator Appliances were delivered and placed in service 2/24/24. At that time we tried to install the modules and found the appliances were NOT U-Connect compatible despite owners manual instructions I'm informed GE's policy on returns is: Despite what our manuals say, our actual policy is: To bad,so sad, we got paid. You (customer) eat the cost caused by our publication error because you should of installed the module before you received the refrigerator and dishwasher. This is not good business practice or a means of encouraging future business with your loyal customer base.

Works Great--Just What I needed

This just arrived but I'm really happy with this refrigerator. Contrary to some negative reviews, this refrigerator is absolutely silent. I don't even know it's on except when it's making ice and I hear the cubes dropping. It did make ice on the day after its arrival--just not the day of. I have no trouble reading the information on the exterior concerning water/ice, etc. My only complaint is that it's smaller than my old one (Kenmore Elite 31 cu ft) and doesn't have the high side holders that a bottle of wine can stand up in. That said, my former one's water system broke twice and now they don't make needed replacement parts so it's in the garage after only 3.5 years. Sturdy doors that actually close tight. Nice veg and fruit bins. Most important for my kitchen, it comes in a glossy white--just what I needed.
