The product was one of the few available that met all of my requirements - heat/cool/ capacity/ 220 volt/ size to fit opening / quiet operation. Install was straight forward. The cooling function works great. Have not tried the Heating function yet.

I have this unit bought it because I™€™ve never had an issue with GE products. The ac I have literally just quit. It™€™s over 100 degrees outside and I have no AC and can™€™t afford another. Make it make sense why is everyone having issues with this unit!!! It started with the high function going out and now it just won™€™t even come on!!!

I just installed this a/c unit this weekend. It has a dedicated 20 amp circuit breaker and everything. The lights turn on when you hit power, then nothing. No fan, nothing. Checked all settings. It just doesn't work. Did all the troubleshooting too. Haven't even gotten to use it and I'm calling a repair man. This is a bad deal.

I always purchase made in the USA if I can possibly, hard to do in many cases nowadays. Purchased a GE 11,700 BTU Air/Heat unit for my garage. We have a lot of family dinners in these Corvid-19 times. We have a three-car garage giving us a lot more room for a small family get-together. Works, as expected, was only a 93 lbs. unit fairly easy to install.

Easy installation to replace a similar machine that was old. The energy saving function is a little too efficient and doesn't seem to keep the temp at the desired level, so it has to be tweaked several times. I've found that changing from energy saving to cool and then later on back to energy saving seems to help. But really, it could be a little more sensitive. other than that, it's a good value and works nicely.

Installed in a cabin at the river. Previous 5,000 BTU A/C simply couldn't keep the cabin cool. This unit works great. Even on full sun days with outside temp in low 90s the cabin stays cool.
